The magic of the high Andean forest in Bogotá
The Reserva Andes (Andes Reservoir) is a nature retreat in Bogotá. It is the natural habitat of hundreds of species of fauna and flora. The panoramic view of the city and over the Río Teusacá valley is wonderful. Security conditions are optimal and by visiting this reserve you support this conservation project. It is an ideal setting easy to contemplate for walks and hikes in Bogotá.
Trail distance: Approximately 10 km. It is mostly a winding path.
The cost of the hike includes transportation and tour guide.
IT DOES NOT include admission fee to the reserve: $ 10,000 pesos (payable directly at the reserve).
Each person must bring their lunch and hydration.
Always be prepared for changing weather. It is important to bring extra clothes to change into.
Located north of the urban area on the Cerros Orientales (eastern hills) and by 237th street. In this area, there is an ongoing private effort that seeks to preserve an extension of 300 hectares of high Andean forest where different streams spring from.
