The summits of Páramo de Guasca

The tour is mostly through rolling terrain, and allows the walker to appreciate the Guasca and Junín valleys simultaneously. This area corresponds to the buffer zone of the Chingaza Natural Park.

The cost of the hike includes transportation and tour guide. Each person must bring their lunch and hydration.

You must always be prepared for rain, cold or heat. We recommend that you bring extra clothes to change into.

Laguna Panda (Panda Lagoon) is located in the upper part of the Páramo (alpine tundra) de Guasca, 4 kilometers from the road that leads from Guasca to Junín. The surrounding area is characterized by steep walls, páramo-style valleys with frailejones (type of Espeletia) and abundant water sources.

Páramo de Sumapaz

It is considered the most extensive páramo in the world taking into account that this type of ecosystem is unique to a few countries in the tropical area of central and South America. The sumpaz páramo has hundreds of lagoons and steep mountains, being one of the most beautiful mountain scenarios of the Colombian oriental mountain range.
