Cañón de Chorro Blanco
A magical trail through a cloud forest and ancient paths that start at rural Choachí, in the village of Potrero Grande, and end in the municipality of La Calera. Huge forest-covered walls can be seen from where countless waterfalls and brooks stream down. In the midst of a deep silence, the fog rising from the lowlands enshrouds everything in an air of mystery.
Very close to Bogotá, this path is a humble but unthinkable and hidden gem within our surroundings. Its inhabitants are farmers with the inmense generosity that is characteristic of those who live surrounded by the simplicity of silence. The path has a 600 meter uphill slope with bridgeless rivers that need to be crossed.
The cost of the hike includes transportation and tour guide. Each person must bring their lunch and hydration. It is important to bring extra clothes to change and the use of sunscreen is recommended.
It is south of Peña de Tunjaque (Tunjaque Rock) in the Choachí municipality.
